Manan's notes

Some of my values in life

  1. Have redundancy in everything. Have way more socks/underwear/chargers than you think you’d need.
  2. Always have a backup or an escape hatch.
  3. Reduce inefficiencies. Make doing as many things as possible frictionless and automatic.
  4. Measure, track, and pace yourself.
  5. Memorable experiences give meaning to life.
  6. Doing things properly and thoroughly is the only way to do things.
  7. Keep exploring new perspectives. You never know what could stick. Different stimuli could make you think about things in ways that you never would've thought about before.
  8. Process thoughts immediately as they come to mind — this makes you have more fleeting thoughts because you know they will be actioned upon.
  9. Readily admit you're wrong.
  10. Avoid the desire for legibility.
  11. Make lists of things you like.
  12. Share your story.
  13. Get new perspectives.
  14. Educate yourself as much as possible, on as much as possible.
  15. Be uncomfortable.
  16. Life's too short for Guilty pleasures.
  17. Do hard things. (Why I like doing hard things)
  18. Better to be unique and shunned than generic and forgotten.
  19. never let yourself get annoyed by the same thing more than twice. After the second time, either fix it (if you can) or learn to be unaffected by it.
