Welcome!
Hi, I'm Manan Khattar. I'm a software engineer living in San Francisco. Welcome to my website. I also have a newsletter.
Here's what I'm doing now.
I'm interested in a lot of things (productivity, technology, music, sports), but I'm probably most obsessed with the idea of eudaimonia, which roughly translates as "the state of living well". From Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics[1]:
"Verbally there is a very general agreement; for both the general run of men and people of superior refinement say that it is [eudaimonia], and identify living well and faring well with being happy; but with regard to what [eudaimonia] is they differ, and the many do not give the same account as the wise. For the former think it is some plain and obvious thing like pleasure, wealth or honour..."
I spend a lot of time trying to answer Aristotle's question — what activities and pursuits enable one to live well. Generally trying hard to be a good person.
Thanks to rothsandro for the wonderful website template.
